Possiblement construite avant 1881 par l&rsquo;Intercolonial, elle est r\u00e9nov\u00e9e et agrandie par le minist\u00e8re des Transports en 1912 selon un mod\u00e8le standard r\u00e9pandu par le Canadian Northern et le Transcontinental. En 1919, l&rsquo;Intercolonial et d&rsquo;autres compagnies de chemin de fer sont int\u00e9gr\u00e9s au r\u00e9seau du Canadien National qui en devient propri\u00e9taire. Pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 l&rsquo;augmentation des voyageurs, elle est agrandie et r\u00e9nov\u00e9e en 1952. En 1986, Via Rail ach\u00e8te le Canadien National et modifie la gare de Causapscal en d\u00e9truisant le deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9tage qui servait de logement au chef de gare.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Valeur patrimoniale<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La gare de Causapscal poss\u00e8de une valeur patrimoniale sup\u00e9rieure. Son int\u00e9r\u00eat repose notamment sur son usage. La gare occupe une place centrale dans le village et la petite ville du Qu\u00e9bec au 19e si\u00e8cle et au d\u00e9but du 20e si\u00e8cle. En effet, elle constitue un centre d&rsquo;information et de communication, o\u00f9 sont regroup\u00e9s des services essentiels, tels que la poste et le t\u00e9l\u00e9graphe. Sa valeur patrimoniale r\u00e9side en outre dans son architecture. La gare a subi beaucoup d&rsquo;interventions au cours du dernier si\u00e8cle qui ont compl\u00e8tement transform\u00e9 l&rsquo;aspect qu&rsquo;elle pr\u00e9sentait au d\u00e9but du 20e si\u00e8cle. La plus importante modification est encore aujourd&rsquo;hui perceptible depuis sa transformation selon un mod\u00e8le standard r\u00e9pandu par une des compagnies de chemins de fer de la premi\u00e8re moiti\u00e9 du 20e si\u00e8cle, peut-\u00eatre le Canadian Northern ou le Transcontinental. Par ailleurs, cette gare poss\u00e8de encore plusieurs \u00e9l\u00e9ments anciens, dont le rev\u00eatement en bardeaux de bois, les fen\u00eatres, les portes et plusieurs attributs du programme d\u00e9coratif (planches corni\u00e8res, chambranles, consoles). Enfin, la valeur patrimoniale de la gare de Causapscal tient \u00e0 son histoire. Elle est probablement construite avant 1881 par l&rsquo;Intercolonial, compagnie ferroviaire qui construit, de 1869 \u00e0 1876, une ligne de chemin de fer reliant Rivi\u00e8re-du-Loup \u00e0 Halifax et dont le passage lance le d\u00e9veloppement de la r\u00e9gion de la Matap\u00e9dia.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><strong>Source :&nbsp;<\/strong><a
